<p>The PolyPulse technology is a revolutionary concept for drug administration. It provides for on-demand or programmed pulse-wise release of a drug substance, for example in case of breakthrough cancer pain and infection prevention. By using an external device supplying energy via magnetism, ultrasound or infrared light an implant can be switched on and off whenever preferred. After switching it on the release of drug substance is started. When the energy supply is stopped, the release also stops.
